The app's bicycle-optimized display of maps is particularly useful, as it highlights cycle routes and ensures you stay on the safest paths. Additionally, the tracking feature allows you to visualize your rides and track your progress over time using the personal heatmap in your profile.

The app's route planner is highly flexible, allowing you to add as many stopovers as needed and providing detailed information about elevation. It also prioritizes cycle paths and bike-friendly routes for a smoother and safer journey. With various routing options available, you can choose the best route for your preferences.

In addition to online route planning and navigation, Bike Citizens offers an offline map download option through its premium membership. The bike navigator provides precise voice prompts, ensuring you never miss a turn on your cycling route.

By downloading the app, you automatically gain access to the app's free premium area, which covers a 7km diameter. Within this area, you can enjoy multi-stop route planning, precise voice prompts for navigation, and offline maps. Additionally, many of the app's features can be used outside of this area as well.

If you're looking for even more features and benefits, Bike Citizens offers a premium membership that unlocks worldwide access to all the features available in the free premium area. This includes map downloads for offline navigation, personalized routing settings, and more customization options for your profile and settings.

Obtaining a premium membership is easy. You can subscribe to it within the app at $3.49 per month or $27.99 per year. The subscription will be charged to your iTunes Account and will renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period. Additionally, voucher codes are available for redemption, and in sponsored cities or regions, many premium features are accessible for free.

In terms of sponsored cities and regions, specific areas offer an extended premium area that includes all premium features and map download for offline use. This applies to Bremen/Bremerhaven, Hannover Region (Bike Benefit), Schleswig-Holstein, Dortmund (Bike Benefit), and the City of Osnabrück.

As for current campaigns, Bike Citizens is running a variety of initiatives in different locations, such as "Bike Benefit" in the Hannover Region and Dortmund, "Bike to Work" in LKH Graz and Dortmund, and "Bock auf Biken" in Schleswig-Holstein.
